Updates in the rules for obtaining work permits for foreigners in Turkey!

📅 On October 1, 2024, new conditions for foreign nationals wishing to work and invest in Turkey came into force. Let's take a look at the important changes: 

🔵 For entrepreneurs: Foreigners who have invested a minimum of $100,000 in a business are exempted from the requirement to employ five Turkish citizens to obtain a work permit. Their family members may also qualify for a residence permit. 

🔵 For employees: Foreigners legally residing in Turkey for more than three out of the last five years may hire up to three foreign employees without the mandatory number of Turkish employees. This opens up new business opportunities. 

🔵 For IT professionals: The first two foreign employees in IT companies are exempted from employment and financial solvency requirements, which promotes the development of the technology sector. 

🔵 Wage level: In some sectors, the minimum wage for foreign workers is now equal to the minimum wage for Turkish citizens, which makes hiring foreigners more profitable. 

🔵 For citizens with relatives in Turkey: Foreigners whose parents or children are Turkish citizens can obtain a work permit without additional requirements. This greatly simplifies the integration process.
