Preparing to travel with your pet to Turkey is a fun and exciting time! Here is a detailed list of steps to help make your trip safe and enjoyable:

  • Electronic identification: Make sure your pet is microchipped or clearly labeled.

  • International Veterinary Passport: Get this important document in English, which should have the required vaccinations noted.

  • Form 1 veterinary certificate: This is the main authorization document for entry into Turkey.

  • Comprehensive vaccination: Although it is not mandatory, it is important for your pet's health while traveling.

  • Rabies Vaccination: This is mandatory for entry into Turkey. Make sure that the vaccination is done according to WHO requirements.

  • Deworming and insectocaricidal treatment: Have these procedures done 24-48 hours before departure and ask the veterinarian to make the appropriate entries in the passport.

  • Certificate that the animal is not of breeding value: This may be required at border crossings.

Traveling with your pet should be safe and fun! Prepare in advance so your friend can enjoy new experiences with you!
