According to data for the first half of 2025, Turkey has demonstrated one of the best results in Europe by commissioning 593 MW of new onshore wind energy facilities. This is 39% higher than last year.

According to the forecasts of the WindEurope Association, by the end of 2025, the total capacity increase in Turkey may amount to 1.6 GW. The country has already completed 37% of its annual plan.

The steady growth of the renewable energy sector strengthens Turkey's position in the European market and undermines its desire to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
